Bel Sole Guest House

Was a bit weirded out at first that there were no people to check us in, but we eventually found our way to our room. The room was clean and alright. Location not so good. It was a bit of a walk to the supermarket and restaurants. But for the price, it was ok. We especially liked the breakfast that came with our room. And the lady in the reception helped us book a cab to the cruise port which we appreciated.

Our flight was late getting into Rome, which put our arrival in Civitavecchia (by train) late and our arrival at the Bel Sole Hotel even later than originally planned, but thank goodness GIANNI was there waiting for us at the front desk! He was so extremely helpful and personable and provided such excellent service that we must commend him! He even phoned and made reservations for us to eat at the King Edward’s Pub (where our meal was scrumptious!) !!! Thank you, Gianni for making our stay there so memorable! Our room was clean and cozy, too.

Cruising out of Rome, Italy? The port is in Civitavecchia, and it's an hour away from Rome. Want to spend the night in Civitavecchia instead of catching an early morning shuttle bus out of Rome? This is the ideal place. It's cozy and clean, and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast in the morning and a shuttle to the port are included in the low nightly rate. It is an unusual town, though. The shops are only open in the morning and then again in the evening. Nothing is open during the afternoon hours. There is a supermarket within walking distance and plenty of eateries. This is highly recommended if you wish to stay close to the port before sailing.

Super comfortable and the customer service was amazing! We stayed one night because our cruise was leaving from the port and we were so glad we stayed here. They were super welcoming, and even made sure to call the shuttle to the port for us, we didn't even have to ask! The room is spacious and comfortable. Maybe it was the long flight but when my head hit that pillow I was out! Definitely recommend staying there if in the area.

We spent two lovely days at this B&B. Gianni at reception was over the top helpful during our stay. Spacious room and comfy bed. The transfer for 7 euros per person to cruise terminal arranged by Gianni was very much appreciated.

The service, the kindness of the employees is heart warming... very helpful to coordinate taxi transfer to the Cruise Port. They are fluent in Italian ( of course!), as well as Spanish and English. The B&B is centrally located. A taxi will take you to the port in 10 minutes. I highly recomend this place to stay!!! Clean rooms and are very spacious! The bed mattress is very comfortable

We took this hotel to spend a night before the cruise and it was perfect for this matter. Only problem was a water pressure in the shower. Special thanks to the owner, who helped us with transportation to the sea port!!!

The staff is very very nice and helpful. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean and we'll accommodated. Jianni who staffs reception spent 10 to 20 minutes with us helping to get a food delivery. It was about a 15 minute walk to the boardwalk. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was very good.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff raised my rating on this stay as did the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. The only drawback was that the rooms are those that make you turn off the electric when you leave the room. During the recent heat waves, they should provide two keys so that when you leave for dinner or other outings the rooms can remain cooler. They get so hot so fast in this weather that it takes a long time to cool them back off. I understand and agree with the procedure under normal weather conditions. But these are not normal weather conditions. There is a laundromat right across the street as well as a deli/market. We took advantage of both and we’re not disappointed. Do read the instructions before operating the machines in the laundromat or you might find the experience frustrating. And NOTE the washing machines automatically add soap, disinfectant and softener to the load. Nice you don’t need to purchase those items. All in all a great stay.
